Cricket Equipment Advice
Cricket game and cricket equipment? I
remember seeing a game of cricket while watching a movie few years
ago. It was a funny movie and I wasn't sure if the game was real or
just a comedy. I remember there were a lot of running around and
laughs. I have had to write a lot of articles in my writing career,
but none were harder than when I had to write about the sport of
cricket. I vaguely knew of what it was, and I knew that it was
played in Australia, the UK and in South Africa, as well as many
other countries, but I really didn’t know what it was. I did know
that it is not very popular in the United States, and perhaps that
was why I didn’t know much about it. Imagine my amusement when I
was assigned an article about playing cricket and sport cricket
equipment.
I didn’t know how cricket is played, and I have to tell you that
even though I wrote the article and it checked out OK with a friend
from Australia that knows all about cricket, I still don’t exactly
understand the game. I get the gist of it, but I want to see a live
match to fully understand it. Understand the cricket
equipment was a little easier, but some of the terms were very
foreign for me. If you go to your sport equipment store I
would be curious to see if they carry such sport
equipment. But anyhow if you ever find in the section
sport equipment some cricketequipment go
ahead and have a look. Most are pretty easy to understand, and
you can probably relate most of the items to other sports that you
know or play yourself.
Cricket Equipment 101
The first piece of cricket equipment I understood was
the bat. I could easily identify it as I had seen it in a few
movies. It’s like a baseball bat somewhat, but it is flat instead
of round. Along with that piece of cricket
equipment comes the ball. I can’t explain in very well,
but it is small and round, but not really made like a baseball. I
liken these to baseball items because cricket is a little like
baseball with the batting and the pitching. There’s a lot of
running and outs, but they really aren’t the same game.
Other pieces of cricketequipment you need are pads and
other safety items. The ball is often moving very fast, and you do
need some protection, though you certainly don’t need what a
baseball catcher might need for safety. If you really want to buy
or even understand cricket equipment, you
can do a quick search online and you will find all of the
information you need. Perhaps the best place to look would be a
site that sells cricket equipment. They should have
descriptions and even perhaps some information that you might be
looking for.
